Extended Primary Care Access Service

If you have an urgent need for same day care there is extended access to health care professionals through the Extended Primary Care Access Service at: Newton Aycliffe, Spennymoor and Sedgefield. This is available weekday evenings from 6pm till 8pm and Weekends and Bank Holidays from 8am till 2pm. To access this service please ring NHS 111.

Urgent Care Centre 

The Urgent Care Centre is staffed by local GPs and Nurses experienced in emergency care. The department is situated in Bishop Auckland General Hospital. Out of hours is between 8pm and 8am each night and at weekends as well as bank holidays. To access urgent care services telephone: 111. Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
